Hello,
at work we have old programs written in Quick basic. But now I want to make a new program with windows, buttons etc... that uses the old program. Is is possible without rewrite the old program? Is there some link between qbasic en visual basic?
Thank you very much

I think you'll have to rewrite your apps.

Some of the cammands are similar, but the syntax is slightly different.

Depending on what you're doing, you may be able to cut and paste your code, but you'll still have a lot of correcting before anything will work.

I tried doing this, and ended up just rewriting the app.

Again id like to suggest powerbasic for windows. At least
check it out at powerbasic.com

Tighter code, no runtimes, many statements and commands
are just like qb.

You might also try FreeBasic. Though it is merely in beta form, it is quite powerful for being so young.
