Ok will try to keep it short.
Info: large system 3 cabinets connected to another system in another building
Slot 13 4x8 card co ports 8157, 8158, 8159 and 8160
ext 167 same card 5th port
2 new lines with roll over
i have installed these 2 new lines to 8158 and 8159 and these 2 lines appear on ext 167 (and no where else, i have checked)all good
Line at 8158 rings on ext 167 and when not answered goes to voice mailbox, good!
Line at 8159 rings to ext 167 and when not answered goes to "your call is being transferred to operator" and it does, NOT GOOD!
Get frustrated and move line from 8159 to 8160, reassign line appearance and now both lines now go to voice mailbox!

why is port 8159 not going to voice mail box?????

hope i explained this right!

Thank you!

I thought about that but, if that were the case way are the ports 8158 and 8160 working and just not 8159?????????? Principal user is not set up for for any of these ports?????

Thank you!

8159 must be appearing somewhere.

The rule is, without Principal User assigned, the line will cover to the lowest Logical ID that has the line assigned and is in the coverage group. Whatever extension number (which can be an adjunct or a station port without a phone plugged in) has VM Coverage, but not a mailbox. So when the call covers there, not finding a matching mailbox, it encounters the "Transferring to Operator" sequence.

ok now i have checked every single ext number i can find in this system and the line is not assigned, i can't find it any where?????
