i have a problem with my trunks on an ipo. sometimes when the customer uses there account codes to make call the call remains active after all parties hang up. it happens on both the loop and ground start lines.. anybody ever had this one
the system is a v2 chassis and the sofware version is 7.0.23
i have a trace and some print screen i could send you the trae is from over a weekend period and the print screens have the call that didn't disconnect on them
i was finally able to simulate the problem but that now leads to a question. basically what was happening was that when users try making a call and if they press flash or press d hook button to quickly before putting in there passcodes the call goes on hold. when this happend it jus stays there in a ringback state and not doing anything. so infuture know that ringback on an IP office is when a number is dialed it's the state before the numbers are actually outpulsed to the CO. when that happens and the call starts to ring it shows as connected.
my new problem. is there a way to set a timer to disconnect calls that remain held in the rinback state. i have this problem because the users do not acknowledge the stutered dial tone to switch and disconnect the call manually.
The question remains as to why they are starting the transfer procedure by pressing the R or flicking the hook switch when they are still dialling a number/waiting for connection?
The problem you have is that's how analogue handsets transfer.... by flashing hook (that's all the R button does) transfer return timer should push the call back after a set period, the only other fix is to shorten/lengthen the system flash hook timer so they are unable to do it, but this will break transfer
