Good Afternoon

We have a problem on a pabx but we are not sure if its from the pabx or from the lines.

Client is complaining that when they are on the phone talking to external lines through a tellular, they hear a lot of feedback or even hear themselves back and they cannot talk. Now if an analogue phone is connected directly to the tellular it works ok, but problem remains even if the telular is moved to a known good analogue port.

The problem sometimes happen even on analogue lines but it is much more common on the tellular.

Do you have any idea what issue might be?

Thanks

Antoine

It is an easygate tellular running on an ip 500 v2 8.1 (43) with 9608/9650 IP phones.

Problem is occuring when dialing outside the PABX and does not appear when making internal calls.

Thanks
Antoine

Those are GSM gateways I believe. IP phones with analog lines, even if they are fake GSM analog lines, can be problematic. Echoing is common from what I've seen. Run an impedence match on the lines.

thanks for your info. But we have other clients with similar setup and are working ok. If this is the case, what do you suggest to be done?

Thanks

enable "GSM Silence Suppression"
& then if necessary adjust "Echo Return Loss" in the VCM settings
