Partner ACS 3: Am coming and finding the some lines hung up after all traffic has stopped.

Customer has 14 lines and 10 stations. I have them dialing out starting at with the last line and working down so as not to crash into the incoming lines 1 and up.

Some of these line are getting hung up. Have to restart to get them cleared. Only seems to be lines in the number group of 10 thru 14. I changed the 400E module but still happening.

Messagelink,

I am trying to understand your question. It sounds to me that you have lines 10-14 that are not disconnecting. Is this correct. And if so have you checked to see if this happens before the switch? For instance we use auto-dialers for emergency phones. We add a feature called central office disconnect to the line so after 911 is called the line will reset it self. If you have changed the 400E card and it is doing the same thing then I would test those lines before the switch.

Swap lines 10-14 with 6-9 and see if the problem follows the telephone numbers or the CO ports.

How are the lines being delivered to the premise? Sometimes with a large number of lines, and skimpy telco facilities, they will use a "DAML" to make two lines out of a single pair. Sometimes, they don't pass the open loop disconnect, which may lock up the line.

are these real phone lines or some VOIP soltion ?

I always place Disconnect Supervision on all my installs as a general rule. Sprint does not charge for this feature.

These are copper basic business lines form Sprint not VOIP.

I will swap as suggested.

I will let you know that I do hear the rapid clicking in the background and that travel form loop to loop. I understand that that might be the Proc. that needs to be repaired?

Could this have anything to do with this problem?

Try checking each of the lines at the Bell demarc with a regular telephone to see if the clicking is coming from the LEC or internal to the processor.

Since the clicking sound is not coming from the phone lines themselves, the next step might be to plug a system telephone directly into the jacks on the processor to bypass in-house wiring.

If there is no clicking, then there is an in-house wiring issue that will need to be resolved.

If there clicking is there, the processor could very well be in need of replacing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I once read a post that indicated that the signal to turn on the "Message" light on system phones sounds like clicking.[ponder]

I plugged it direct in to the proc and the sound is coming from Partner. I am aware of the WM clicking and it is not that. This is a rapid clicking and moves from line to line over time.
