Linear Hunt Group

I'm a new IPO admin... I'm trying to setup the main hunt group (200) to have two extensions. I want all incoming calls to ring on the first exten, then second exten if not answered by the first... then go to voice mail of the first extension if the second doesn't answer. I can get the call to go to the mailbox of the hunt group but not the mailbox of the first exten. Is this possible?

Also, if I do not select the hunt mailbox, the call path is to the first phone, second phone, first phone, second phone (an unending loop). Shouldn't linear go through the list and stop on the last one rather than circle back through?

Check the voicemail box option in the Voicemail tab of the Hunt Group. If you are using Voicemail Pro create a leave action for the hunt group's mailbox. Point the leave start point to a Leave Mail action. In the Specific tab of the Leave Mail action place the first extension's number in the Mailbox field. The call will now cover to the hunt groups voicemail but leave a message in the first extension's mailbox.
 
without VM enabled a linier hunt group will call each extn in turn, then go to the overflow groups if present then repeat.

VM will be left in the hunt group mailbox unless you programm VM pro as above or get realy sneaky with short codes, Diverts & Phantom users.

Personaly I would keep a seperate Mailbof fro the Main number, to get Message waisting lamps for this mailbox add
HMain to the source numbers field of the phone you want to light.

the mailbox will also be shown in phone manager.
 
For the scenario you describe why not just route the calls direct to the first extension.

Sets that extension to forward on no answer to the second.

Unanswered calls forwarded to the second extension and still unanswered as supposed to go into the mailbox of the first extension.
