hey Guys,

I have a Norstar Modular ICS.

here is my problem(i am a newb) i have a DID 9785 assigned to a phone. i can call out on this phone and it shows the DID on the caller ID when i call my cell....But when i try to call the DID directly it rings to our main line DID 9700.

how can i change the line or assign this DID to a line to receive inbound call directly to the phone.

Thanks in Advance!

DID's are Target lines.
You must assign the target line to Ring at that set.
A good tech will give the line name the last 4 digits of the phone number.
Maybe go to LINE programming and start at line 145 and click next untill you see 9785 and see what that Line/Target number is and make sure in Terminals and Sets that set has that Line/Target number assigned to Ring.

Curlycord,

i am not so lucky... The line assigned to the DID is a target line but still rings to our main line number.

I even got another line that was assigned to another DID unassigned it then assigned it to the 9785 DID with no luck.

is there anyway to start New with a new line?

TIA

Yes you could as a test, go to your Target line and remove the recieved digits, pick say Target Line 190 or what ever you choose and make and the recieved digits to that line ane Pime that line to 9785.

Otherwise maybe a problem with that DN, perhaps give it a ne new DN as a test.

ok dumb question but how can i Prime the line to 9785?

Under the Line programming....by default it is reception set or lowest DN.

Also sometimes when issue with a line if you make it PRIVATE instead of PUBLIC it will default programming for that line and dis-associate it form any other set.
Once that is done then make it PUBLIC again.
