Does anyone know how to adjust incoming PAD on a line side T1. Adjusting the DP level for a gain or loss.

i haven't seen a prompt for that, that is a normal trunk prompt, so building the analog stations in the host switch can't be padded. on the remote end, those should be built as trunks, depending on the switch type on the far end, try adjusting them there. what is the switch type on the far end?

Thanks JohnPoole: They have both a 11c and a 61c. Both have a line side T1 in each switch. It looks likes one talks to the other. Does this help??

that is not a normal setup, pls print the tn of one the line side, one tn for each end. normal t1 to t1 between those two would be a pri, load 60 stat or at least a t1, trunk side.. just print one tn from each end and i might be able to help.. is that t1 through the pstn (phone company) or a point to point on a pvt net?

These cards are set up as analog ports in a switch. Just like a analog card. It takes up 2 slots in the switch. That is what is so confusing. If I print up the TN you get what looks like analog phones. Each Port roles to the next. It does not have loop or DCH nor is it in LD 60.

line side are not in load 60, two things that stand out. one is loop 0, very uncommon. but not a problem. the other is those analog stations are acquired, asid 16.. never saw that on a line side. a ivr maybe, but a line side to another switch? you posted one end, can you paste the other? in my limited experence, the other end should be programed as cot trunks loop start. if they are stations on both ends, something is very strange.. connecting two analog stations together is very abnormal, i doesn't work. if it does, someone let me know how. the dual wide card is normal, you program all 24 channels, a card and a half. so it takes two slots.. we use several line side t's.. the far end goes to a bcm or norstar ksu, or even a opt 11. in my 81 they program as analog stations, on the far end, they program as trunks.. just like the co programs your trunks as analog stations

You are right, these card are for the IVR. Maybe that helps. I still cannot find any docs on how to Pad or adjust the DB levels on this card. Below is the other switch. Opt11. These looked like there built the different or not aquired. Thanks again.

because your providing analog sets for ivr trunks the ivr will need to pad the line, padding is a option on trunks. you could build the line side as cots, with rtrn yes to send dial tone to the far end (ivr) but i doubt if that will work with the ast preset

Ok, so if I new what u talking about ( my fault ) where would I actually go to make these changes. I guess I am little confused. Sorry John.

one end of a line side needs to be set up as trunks, out the analog sets on one side, (host) and build a route (ld 16) then ld 14 new 24 and build 24 cot, tie or did trunks. that will give you padding and a more normal setup. you may need to consult with the ivr provider. this is not the same type setup i have used.. normal sl1 to ivr, not sl1 to sl1 to ivr.. what are the interface between the actual ivr and the sl1 built as.. this is the kind of problem i perfer to be on site..

T1 line side only is used in IVR applications or channel bank. The transmission parameters for this card are similar for analog ports (check the NTP International loss and level plan for information).
For T1 trunks, you can define PAD in ld 73.
If you use the T1 line side for IVR, don´t forget put in the CLS LDTA (line disconnect tone allowed).

Regards,

Javier

have to take a exception with the usage of only. they work pretty good with a remote key system on the far end. i've also used then between a 81 and a rolm 9751.. in this switch i stay away from only..ld 73 pad is system wide, did you see the way those are built? analog stations on each end? i don't see how that is working.
