Line selection on Ext. 10 2

Hi all,

Newbe here...

I just set up an ACS R6 system and seems to be working good. the problem seems to be with line order selection on Extension 10. Phone continues to default to intercom when the handset is raised, no matter what I do. No problem with setting line order on other extensions. I want it to default to Line 1.

Thanks for your help to a question that must be painfully obvious to most.

Have you tried Auto Line Selection?
Feature 00, left intercom, left intercom, right intercom
enter 10 for Extension:, **, press lines in oder you want, **, Feature 00 to end

Thanks telprog, but, yes, I've tried that repeatedly with no results. I lift the handset and the first intecom line is selected. Also, I can hear the phone dial tone in the headset. I can manually select any line with no problem. In addition, if I press 9, the phone then selects line 1.

I must have soemthing else set wrong. I think it is odd that pressing 9 selcts an outside line.

Do you by chance have 10 assigned to hunt group 7?

Hi Steve,
Telprog is right. The hunt group 7 assignment will override your autoline select. It is also normal for these systems to go to an outside line if you dial "9" from the intercom. So check in hunt group 7 (#505,7, 10 - 2 not assigned).

Bingo!! You guys got it right! I did have ext 10 assigned to hunt group 7. Thank you so much, I thought I was going crazy.
