I can't figure out why this TN rings busy after 2 of the 5 lines are engaged. Can anyone see a reason why it would do that? It doesn't even go to voicemail. Any help would be great. Thanks! TJ

that station should never ring busy.. lhk 5 plus hunt 6000.. unless someone else has key 2 as a pdn and they have it forwarded.. i know marp should allow the hunt but you cannot hunt to a station that is hard forwarded to you

6 extensions! good golly! Call the other extensions manually just to make sure they ring properly on their own.

Did you intend for the LPK to be on 5? Normally that's set to 0.

I called the DN's internally on keys 2,3,and 4 and could get through just fine. But when I call the DID which is actually 234-8585(points it to 1454), it rings busy after Key 0 and Key 1 are engaged. Could it be an IDC issue?
Thanks TJ

I went over to the building so I could make internal calls. I AM able to call the receptionist and tie up 3 lines on her phone when its an internal call, but when I call the DID from the outside, it rings busy when I call after the 1st 2 lines are busy.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question, but if 0 and 1 are not active the DID rings through and the call is answered.
One other interesting thing. If I call and tie up 2 lines internally and then dial a 9+DID for the third call, the call rings and goes through.
Could there be a limit to the simultaneous number of IDC's going on?

If the DID rang busy when 0 and 1 are not active, then it would soley be a DID issue and not have anything to do with hunting.

IDC shouldn't be an issue.

THe DID never rang busy unless the first 2 lines were active. I hope I'm making sense.

Does 1454 appear on any other phones? And is MARP turned on? If Marp is off it will follow the programming of the lowest TN, not the MARP set.

Have you checked the DID trunks themselves to make sure it is not a trunk issue?

It does appear on one other set, but MARP is on the 3904 in question.

That's probably is what is causing it. Remove it from the other phone and see what happens.

So let me make sure I understand this.

You have one phone set up with 6 PDNs, HTA and LHK 5. If you call internally, as each PDN is used up, the call hunts to the next key as programmed. However, if you place 3 calls externally accross a DID, the third call rings busy. So the problem only exits on External Calls? Correct?

As a test, why not place two internal calls to tie up PDNs on 0 and 1. Then place two calls through DID to tie up keys 2 and 3. Place a third internal call to see if it hunts to 4. Then place a third call on DID to see if it hunts to 5 or if it rings busy. If it rings busy, it must be some DID\IDC limitiation...

Kinda curious myself. I work in a call center environment with 150,000+ RTNs programmed to an IDC table. We can receive unlimited calls to a single RTN pointing to an ACDDN queue. But for DID I have never tried that...

what is the idc output for this.. if the did is pointing to something other then key 0 it may be a marp issue..

works internal, not external.. post the idc line that points to key 0.. are these stand alone did's.. if you had a group of numbers pointed to your did's.. they may be limited via the provider to two forwards.. as a test rebuild your did with 3 or more mcr keys

key 0 mcr 1234
key 1 mcr 1234
key 2 mcr 1234

etc, then call it 3 or 4 times from outside, holding the calls up.. see if the provider will allow more then two forwards on each did.. i had that problem when i moved some non dids to my switch.. they had 5 lines in hunt, a small med practice.. we had hard forward put on the hunt pilot to the idc table and build sets with mcrs behind that.. with 15 stations they should have been able to get 15 calls on that mcr... the second call from external got a busy.. seems we had to pay the provider for multi call forward

I will try what's suggested above and let you know what I find. Thanks for the suggestions!

The set can say marp but go into LD 22 and print PARM you will see the prompt MARP
MLDN YES
MARP YES
IPIE NO
If it says NO here then marp for the system is off and MARP on any set is ignored. If it is off Be careful turning it on. Some of your other sets may not work right.

the idc table shows

DCNO 0
IDGT CDGT
8177 1454

which is interesting because the DID is XXX-8787, not 8177.
Could it be that Qwest is hunting and that there is a limitation THERE? By the way MARP is on YES in LD 22.
