I have a MICS (SP: 30mkF05 NAT) that we just installed PRI on. Loop card in 1st slot, PRI card in 2nd slot. Enabled PRI codes. ESF/B8ZS. Worked with Telco and up ok. It is an "integrated circuit" 6 channels for incoming/outgoing DID. Provisioned 1-6 on PRI.
Disabled 7-23 under LINK Status

When I try Line Redirection (F84): It says "select line out" - I press Intercom and enter 9+the cell number I want it to go to. Select Line- ALL & OK. It takes it just fine.

But when I call in on the DID number assigned to appear & ring on the set, you see the call come in, then go out. Then the system drops the call. The display on the phone goes blank and you get internal busy.

Line direction for the ext is turned ON.
TL in set to A&R.
Routing is set up: Dest code is 9
Routing Code is set to PRI-A
PRI-A is allowed on the ext.
2 Intercom keys are assigned.

Calls out are sometimes being dropped when just making a regular call out.

HELP!!

Just discovered that the "line redirection" is probably just a symptom of the dialing out problems. About every 2-3 call gets dropped. Display goes blank. Internal busy signal.

We are resetting the T1/PRI card to see if that helps.

Thoughts?

I've used intercom on PRI systems for line redir in the past and it's worked fine, so long as the user has enough int paths on their set.

When you get the busy and the call drops press feature 811 and it should tell you what channel you are using. It could be that it is grabing a channel that you think is Deprovisioned. Now this makes me think you did not deprovision because you said you went to link status. They need to be DEPROVISIONED under Maint.

I'm pretty sure I deprovisioned the channels I'm not using, but I'll go back and check.

Channels aren't being dropped anymore during regular calls. Now just when I'm trying to set up Line Redirection.

RE: intercom paths - I've got two assigned to the set. Do I need more??

Thanks for the assistance.
