Line apperance button stays lit

hi guys ,I just finished installing a 200+ ipo 500v2 system with 9600's and 1600's phones .the problem I have is on some of the users line appearance button ,after a call , it stays lit (green) hence you cant make a call ,but if u call the number it would ring and u can answer and when you hang up only then it would clear and go back to normal. I'm using analogue trunks .is there an issue with the phone or the trunk settings?
 
What does SSA or Monitor say when the user thinks the call has ended and the button is lit ??

Are you sure you don't have multiple analogue lines of the same circuit and you are presuming the call in and hang up is fixing the issue??

Do you have call appearance keys also??

Is the call routing through an AA???

Actually the project is complete ,but these are some teething issues so im off the site but when I return to solve these issues I will check the SSA and monitor .

The said user answers their own calls (no secretary)

the calls are not routed through an "AA" it goes directly to the extention

 
Sounds like the analog trunks are not releasing. Did you run the empedence match on them?
 
Why on earth are you even using line appearance keys
they are evil & total unnecessary on an IP office*

set incoming & outgoing group id's on the lines as necessary (lines on the same number should have the same ID) & route the calls using incoming call routes.


* there may be a couple of scenarios where a line appearance key may be an advantage but these are V rare

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
