We plan to deploy a number of BCM50s in the near future for one particular customer. The customer has expressed his desire to use line appearances for no other reason than that is what he is used to.
My question is, how can I use line appearances or a reasonable facimile thereof, without giving up extension features such as call forwarding, call forwarding to voicemail.. etc?

If they appear, but don't appear and ring it's not a problem. If they appear and ring then you need to be careful with the CFNA on the phones and making sure they don't hard forward their phone.

Hunt groups won't follow CFNA rules. Hunt groups can appear on the phone, maybe that's an option.

If the customer wants CFNA set to 4 rings, you could have the AA answer at 4 rings. This can be done even if the phones ring. The AA takes precedence.
