Customer states that Line 8 (last of lines) is appearing "busy" when a call is answered on Line 1. When you hang up from Line 1, Line 8 appears busy - it never disconnects. You have to release it. If you press that key - you get a fast busy. Eventually, it drops on it’s own.

Weirder yet - Sometimes when into vmail box on set, Line 8 will appear busy and do the same thing.

The issue always happens when hanging up after an outside call is answered. The voice mail has been more sporadic.

If it wasn't for this little bit of info on the voice mail - I would point back to the Telco.

CICS with Call Pilot 100.

And what did the butt set say?

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Found the problem. The system had "Full AutoHold" enabled for some silly reason. And their system is set with Line Pool A as their prime line.

So, when they lifted their handset, they were on line 8. They go to take a call on line 2 and voila! Line 8 goes on hold and blinks 'til the cows come home.

What stumped me was the whole "line 8 on hold" when they accessed their vmail. Duh. Line 8 was grabbed when lifting the handset - then put on hold when vmail key was pressed.

Sorry for the trouble. I didn't set up this system. I rarely, if ever, set prime line to be a pool group.

Thanks for the insight.
