Hello,
We are currently running a mix of Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 2.8 across a range of servers (420R's, E4500, E6500, Netra T1). We have hit problems with licensing when upgrading the number of processors in a few of our machines. Some of the products we use are licensed per processor in the server. To get around this we would like to tie the processes that are licensed per CPU to fixed number of CPU's i.e. use only three out of the four available. A colleague has mentioned 'process sets' but I cannot find much info about this. Can you help either with explaining process sets of with another way of doing it?
