Thanks in advanced. I am working with an Avaya G3siv11. I have a weather line that is set up as a direct dial dummy extension that has an annoucement to tell employees/customers if we are open or not. Is there any limitations on how many people can call in at once?

Are you using tn750 or tn2501 val boards for your announcements?

Correction. It is not setup as an announcement, it is set up in audix as a bullentin. Will this greatly reduce the number of callers who can access this line at once? We do however have a TN2501 announcement board.

Your bottleneck could be the number of ports between the switch and audix. You could get more callers on a barge-in announcement on a valboard. The only issue there would be the number of incoming trunks.

I have 18 audix ports and Intuity ports, so I guess I can have 18 callers. I see that I can have 31 callers for the Tn2501 Val board.

with barge-in on the announcement, several users can listen on the same port at the same time.

Just clarifying my understanding of "barge-in" - any caller would hear what's already being played. So a new caller could come in part way through the message?

Not sure if an Audix bulletin announcement loops automatically?

without barge-in, you would queue for the beginning of the announcement and an available valboard port
