Hi,
Right now we only give email to the user that need it for business purposes. I would like to have it where all our employee's have email access to cut back on the amount of paper memo's we are sending around.
Question is that we are concerned with some of our users who might be receiving junk mail and potentially a virus via email. We use Outlook and Outlook Express as our email clients. Is there anyone to have it setup where they can send and recieve email at the domain level (within the company) but not get any outside email?
Actually just as I was writing this I found out that one of my user had the SoBig worm!

Thx,
Ryan

This is one of my favorite uses for the old Microsoft Mail Postoffice. It only works on your internal lan. Unfortunately it won't work with Outlook Express.

Is this already preinstalled and if not where would I find it?

Thx,
Ryan

It's probably not preinstalled on Win98. On the win98 cd, look in \tools\oldwin95\message\us. Install the wms.exe file. Then, you can go to control panel on that machine and you will find Microsoft Mail Postoffice. Make sure you create the Post Office on a shared drive or folder that everyone has access to. On the outlook clients, add the service for Microsoft Mail.

If I'm running XP or 2000 pro is it preinstalled?

Sorry, I thought I had specified something that apparently I didn't........

It only comes with Win95 and Win98. I intend to always keep an old win98 machine around for just this purpose (or at least as long as Outlook can continue to use it). If you don't have one, you can find old Win98 machines quite cheap on ebay. It really doesn't need to be a very much of a system.

you can actually pull the postoffice files off of a winnt disk, maybe even 98. I fould it through google. If you cant let me know and I'll find the exact files for you..
