Limit time for outgoing calls on trunk?

It is possible but depends what software version you are running
From CM1 or 2 you have an "outgoing trunk disconnect timer" on page two of the COR form

Unfortunately I'm not sure there's much you can do on that release.
Maybe setup some SMDR software to help track calls historically
