Hi,

I want to force users to use ssh instead of telnet. Is there a way to limit telnetd only to serial ports? So I can use my console terminal with telnet and normal users must use ssh.

Thanks in advance

telnetd is a network service, so just comment out its line in /etc/inetd.conf (and HUP inetd).

logins on serial ports are handled by getty, not telnetd.

tkanks, that was exactly what I whanted to know.
