Hello,

I just started work for a company that is running Windows
2000 Small Business Server as the Active Directory Domain
Controller. If I remember correctly, Small Business
Server only supports up to 50 machines to be connected to
the Active Directory at any one time. Is this correct?
If so, I would like to add some machines to the Active
Directory, but this would push the number of connected
machines past 50, is there any way around this? Can you
buy more licenses for Small Business Server?

Thanks.

It's not a problem with client licenses, but rather that SBS is meant for SMALL business. This has been hardcoded at the server side to 50, so client CALS won't help.

If you need more than 50 machines in an AD, it's time to move to a non-SBS solution.

Sorry!

Ouch!!! I don't like to hear that, but I guess I will have to make do.

Thanks.
