Hi out there,

I´ve got a question regarding Borland Delphi´s 5 licensing:

I´m offered a Inprise Delphi 5 Standard Edition CD Medium. The vendor says that it is unregistered and licensed to be able to distibute the software made commercially.
Now I´m trying to check this information. What I´ve found out:

1) "Standard"-Editions of Delphi don´t exist for V6 & 7.
2) I haven´t got any reply from Borland.
3) I couldn´t find anything related to licensing Delphi 5 on the Borland website

So does anyone know if the licensing for Delphi 5 Standard includes the license to sell the software made with it ?
And while we are at it. What about Delphi 2 Standard ?

I hope anyone of you does know the answer.

Thanks and best regards.

Well, answering my own question:

Yes, Delphi 5 Standard is licensed to sell the software developed with it. Just got my reply from Borland...
Sometimes it pays off to wait longer than half an hour ;-)

Best regards,

Elmar
