Hello,

I have a win 2k server that is hitting connection limits because
printer spoolss sessions aren't dropping. So we were going to buy more
CALs for the server and our software rep told us we don't need cals for
printing. I emailed MS for verification but they sent me the "we don't
support that anymore" email back. Does anyone know if you need a user
license for a server that is being used strictly as a print server?

Thanks in advance.

Is the server configured for user CALs? If so, then you don't need CALs just for printing.

Hello,

It is licensed per server for 45 concurrent connections.
