Licenses/Software to upgrade IP Office 500 from R4.2 to R6... 1

Background:

My company is looking to take advantage of the CCR (i.e. Customer Call Reporter) software made by Avaya to gather some metrics on how some of the agents are dealing with phone calls.

I have been talking to a company about doing the installation and they are giving me a price point of $10k (just for the Avaya side), which is quite a bit above what the "powers that be" want to pay. They want me to do the upgrade and save them some of the cost.

I know about some of the licenses that we will need:

- MFN: 229420
[tt]AVAYA IPO CUSTOMER SVC AGT RFA 1 LIC[/tt]
- MFN: 217650


Question:

I know that I need some kind of supervisor license but I don't know what it is or, more specifically, what it's MFN is.

Is there anything else that I'm missing when upgrading from R4.2 to R6?


Agent & Supervisor Licenses for CCR
 
229424 Advanced edition, which includes 1 supervisor and contact store.

217651 5 user agents

217653 20 User agents

217650 is 1 agent for CCR

Plus, you will need a server to run it.



 
There is no need for the advanced edition license.
You need at least one supervisor license
you need ccr agent licenses.
You also need a r6 upgrade license ( not the small one)

one supervisor license is much cheaper then the advanced edition license.

However the licence tlpeter refers too is the "Legacy" licence i.e pre R6, see below from the docs:

Customer Call Reporter can alternately be enabled by a legacy CCR Sup license or a CCC Supervisor and CCR CCC Upg license.

This is the old one (release 5)

217655 IPO LIC CUSTMR SVC SPV RFA 1 LIC:CU This Profile enables service supervisors to track, measure and create reports for agent (or a group of agents) productivity via a web browser interface.

This is the new one (release 6)

229442 IPO LIC R6 CUSTMR SVC SPV RFA 1 Enables 1 CCR Supervisor

I should add that the 217655 IPO LIC CUSTMR SVC SPV RFA 1 LIC:CU licence is no longer available only the new R6 one which will not enable CCR, how is he to do what you suggest?

I will put the complete piece of doc here:

This license is concurrent and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: An Advanced Edition system license or legacy CCR SUP license or a CCC
Supervisor and CCR CCC Upgrade license is required as a prerequisite for this
license to be valid.
Customer Service Supervisor: This license will enable the following functionality for
the user:
• CCR Supervisor
This license is concurrent and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: An Advanced Edition system license or legacy CCR SUP license or a CCC
Supervisor and CCR CCC Upgrade license is required as a prerequisite for this
license to be valid.


Bottom line is that you need an advanced edtion OR a supervosor license OR a CCC to CCR upgrade license.

So that means you can buy 1 supervisor license to enable CCR for agents.
Then you only need CCR agent licenses to complete it.

Looking to CDW, I see most of these products but not all of the Supervisor Licenses that you are describing. Can you recommend an online vendor?

What is the easiest/most readily available (product wise) way to do the upgrade?

If, we do go with the "Legacy" licenses that were mentioned, do I have to enter them in a specific order for them to be effective?
 
I can find 229442 on the ADI website so it is order able separate and will enable CCR!

@Monotone, where are you located ?
