Hi there,

we're about to install a GSM Gateway (2 SIM) on a IP Office R9.1 what type of licenses and the amount of licenses do we need; it will be connected thru the network so I guess you need a IP license as well as a SIP trunk license? Is this assumption correct?

Thank you

You have to find out how the connection to IPO is done. If it is a SIP trunk you will need the corresponding number of SIP trunk channels for IPO and you need VCM channels (Combo Card, VCM Card).

if you use ISDN BRI interface GSM GATEWAY ( 2 SIM CARDS) Then you need only a BRI trunk interface on the IPO.

Or if you are using an analogue GSM router then you will need an ATM card in the IPO.

No the GSM will be connected via the LAN

And the IP Office has combo cards so that part is covered. My only concern are the licenses and the proper amount of licenses.

If the GSM is connected over the LAN, it's likely SIP. Derfloh said it.

so now that that's out of the way do I need 1 or 2 SIP trunk licenses (just asking) 1 for the Gateway or 2 for each SIM?
That was my original question.

I guess that depends on how many simultaneous calls it supports. You would need 1 sip trunk license for each call. I would suspect it would support at least 2.

Don't be so arsey, your original question was in fact 4 different questions :)
