Hi,

Customer has an ip office 406 with Voicemailpro licenses enabled.

When upgrading/migrating from ip office (406) 5.0 to a new 500v2 (8.1)
do I need a essential edition license?

My distri says yes. Feels like robbery to me.

Essential Edition licence is a pre-requisite for Preferred Edition

I am in the middle of a similar upgrade involving 3 406v2 units upgrading to IP500v2's

Have loaded Essential licence on all 3 500's

Have loaded a 60 day trial licence of Preferred (VMPro) onto the system which hosts the VMPro server

The other 2 automatcally install a VIRTUAL Preferred license so the single VM system over the SCN network works OK

You may want to look at using a trial Preferred licence as you only have a week or so to return the old 406 dongle once you have moved the licence over to a new 500v2 system.

Good luck

It is a robbery but it is like it is.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
