I just got the pleasure of moving our ip office voicemail server (among other things) into our new rack. As a fun bonus, the licenses are no longer being recognized in the manageror the delta server. The usb dongle is still in place. Any Clue as to what I need to do to get them to show back up? It's 3:45, so it's probably somethign stupid that I am jsut not thinking of...

Thanks,

Pete

If the feature key icon in the system tray is a white square with a red cross the pc cant physically see the dongle. If it is a red square the pc can see the dongle. If you dont have a red or white square then you havent got feature key server installed. You need to install it from the admin cd.

Assuming you have a red square then all you need to do is point your licence server ip address in the manager prog under the system tab to be the machine that has the dongle on it (actually specify, not broadcast). Actually check the address is correct.

Also run FW.bat ( a batch file that kind be found on the knowledge base that opens up XP firewalls) if an XP machine or check any firewall has the feature key as an exception.

If you have met the above criteria try rebooting the IPO.

Also make sure you have only 1 feature key server software on the network, if the licence ip address is broadcasting it could find the wrong feature key server.

If still no joy run away as fast as you can.

Thanks for the info. The IP address was correct and the key server was running, but rebooting the switch seemed to do it. You just saved me a bunch more time...

Gracias
