Hi

Today we got a lot of messages that our licence will be out of date on Januar 3 2009.
We have the enabler and the auth codes and until now everything was fine.

Since today we have in the Expiration Date line for ALL Licence "G Jan 03, 2009"

In the Log we found the folowing Lines.

42506 12/19/2008 12:00:00 AM nsrd registration notice: invalid auth codes detected.

The auth codes for the following licenses enablers are now invalid.
The cause may be that you moved the NetWorker server to a new computer.
You must re-register these enablers within 15 days to obtain new codes.

But we haven't changed the server and the Host ID is still the same.

We upgrade from 7.4 SP2 to 7.4 SP3 30 Days ago.

Our Networker Server runs on a Red Hat Linux.
Our Networker Server License is a "NetWorker for UNIX, Network Edition (10 clients per server)/1 server" (because many years ago a Linux License didnt exist)
Is it posible that Networker 7.4 SP3 makes a diverence betwen Linux and Unix and that is the reason that your License is no longer valied?
And all the other license are no longer valid because of the Server License?

Thanks for your help.
Stephan

For NW/Linux, the hostid is representing the IP address. Did you change it?

Hi 605

Thanks for the answer.

IP 10.60.20.12
ID 007f01xx (it is still the same ID as befor)
they are complettly diverent.

And antil Friday we had no problem with the License.

i restart the server (delet the /nsr/tmp)

May i suggest that you get in touch with EMC support to solve the problem. Don't know how we can help you in this case.

ok i will do that.

Thanks for the help.

found out what the problem is.

The Host ID changed.
befor the restart from Networker the GUI shows the old ID.
After the restart it shows the new ID.
EMC Licensing create new auth codes for me.
