We did a hard drive replace and after hdd replaced we are
getting a licence error...how do we fix it?

do we need a licence file or just a number? how do we install the licence? please help.

no we dont have old licence file? how do we install new one?
what is the procedure?

and another question.....can i check s8300 configuration
using web interface? if yes how?

thanks

you can load the lic file thru the web interface, just scroll down to the lic file section & from there you can download it.

Thanks....

can i telnet into s8300 with licence error and check config
or i need to install licence then telnet to SAT?

You should be able to telnet to the Media Server irregardless of the license status.

You will need to download the license file from RFA and load it on the Media Server via the web interface.

Did you get the HD from Avaya? Normally they'll just swap the whole S8300....haven't heard of them shipping a new HD...

Technically S8300 is just a PC. Replacing hardrives with exact model that can be bought from the market can be replaced. However if you have ongoing maintenance with Avaya the equipment will be void since you've replaced it without their permission.

if you havent got the license and password file you need to download them again from the RFA website.
