LG CD-RW CED-8080B Problem

I am running win XP pro, I went on my comp one day to realize that the cdrom was suddenly not working anymore.
There is a "!" over the device in device manager, I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, getting updated drivers, firmware, you name it.
Yet the problem does not go away.
Any suggestions? ~Apex1x
