may someone help me, I have a got a lexmark printer which is currently failing to print. After installing the printer, when I try to print it displays the message "printer offline" . I checked the printer cable and found that it was okay. What could be the problem?

What OS are you using? Check the BIOS make sure you aer set to SPP+EPP for the port. Also make sure that the cable is IEEE 1284 compliant. Check the setting on the printer to ensure that it is set correctly. Update the drivers for the OS Hope that helps
