Level 9 SP4 9611G Phone Firmware

Hi All,

Can anybody confirm the correct firmware for 9611G handsets on IPO500V2 Level 9 sp4. The TB 171 does not list the 9611G.

The Handsets do appear to work ok (change over on Saturday), not on site now, but think they are running 6.4.0.14 will double check tomorrow.

Handsets currently boot up and look as thou getting files (SD card, Manager(HTTP relay) and third party HTTP server tried) but after downloading S9608_11HALBR6_3_1_16_V452 file screen displays invalid file and then phone connects to call server. Pretty sure phones is getting the file as it should be not up/downgrading to 6.3.1.16. Have also obtained new S9608_11HALBR6_3_1_16_V452 file just in case mine was corrupt but get the same.

You are apparently not the first one.
Go to the support site of avaya and download the firmware from there and try again.

Earlier this year, Avaya started shipping new "Global" models of the 9611G. Those models (you can tell by the comcode) must use H.323 6.4.0 or later software.

is the similar announcement for the 9608. In this case, they need H.323 6.3.1 or later.

this is exactly what is on my SD card and my seperate MV IPTel HTTP server and it fails to upload to the handset. If I try 6.4 it doesnt even try.

Might try the last 6.3 that was released.

OK forget it. After being totally blonde, as these are band new phones they are on rel 6.4 and can not be downgraded.

FYI - the buttons on some menus are misaligned.
