Is there a way to let users change their network passwords from their workstation whenever they want? I have a 2000 server and the workstations are 98/XP.

Thanks-
Jason

I forgot how to do it in 98 but XP just hit ctl-alt-del and click change password.

Yeah, I should have been more specific. I know how to do it in XP. But most of the workstations are Win98 and I don't know how to let the users change the password on those computers.

Are you trying to allow users to change there passwords on a domain controller or locally? How do they authenticate? Glen A. Johnson

On the domain controller. I'm sorry, I do not know what you mean by "How do they authenicate?".

Are you running Active Directory? If so, just go to the properties box of the user, and on the account tab, uncheck "User cannot change password." How they authenticate is who gives them there rites. If they are logging onto a DC, then the authentication is provided by the DC. I hope this helps. Glen A. Johnson
