I have come to trust the advise of this website so here is a collective question.
I have a Performa/ PowerMac 6200.
What can I do to upgrade it.
Obviously I could max out the ram but what about the not so obvious stuff. Come on tell me what you think and what I could use it for.

You can swap out the motherboard for more speed

suggest the 6300 or the 6360 if you also swap the power supply

because the modem port on the 6200 is so bad, an ethernet card and a DSL or cable modem will greatly speed up the internet, terminate the SCSI port.

if you stay with the analog modem, get MacOS 8.1 or higher I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

What about overclocking the processor a little?
If you suggest this make sure to give instructions.

Has directions, (75 Mhz to 90 Mhz) but it will not be as effective as a 160 Mhz 603e from a 6360

On the other hand, once you have fried the origonal Motherboard, it is easier to convice your self to spend the money on ebay I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Thanks. Do I still have to terminate the SCSI port if I install
1. a comm Slot Ethernet card or
2. get the 6360 motherboard?

1. I beleive so
2. No, the 6360 is a new design, without the flaws of the 6200 design it is closer to the 6400/6500 I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
