Instead of asking our selves

Why use OpenBSD?

Lets all quote what's great about OpenBSD

I fot one:

It's elegant : an only one diskette needed install for a fully operational OS (install download over ftp)

SCO doesn't own parts of it, or even claim to!

IBM and Sun are not trying to own it or suppress it.

Bill Gates isn't sending its paid development offshore (nor is Fiorina, McNealey, Ellison, nor Palmisano, to mention a few others).

1. pf as a firewall is hard to beat
2. the ports collection is very cool
3. runs on many platforms
4. very fast
5. very stable
6. no buffer overflows
7. security is great
