Length of lines

I've drawn a line with the pen tool and i need to know how long it is - is there a way to find this out?

I should have said I'm using CS3.

Select line and go to Window menu. Pick either Info or transform. Both will show dimensions. Transform is probably best as it will let you type in a new exact length if desired

I haven't tried this plug-in yet but it seems to do exactly what you want:

Scroll down to the Illustrator plug-ins and download Path Length. There's also Patharea that gives both area and length.
