Help!

We have a Legend R 5.0 V10.0 with 391A3 power supply, 2 408 GS/LS-MLX and 1 012 module. Increasingly, we find in the morning the system has shut itself down overnight. Cycling the power supply switch will bring it back. Sometimes a slammed door nearby will kill it, other times it seems there is no outside stimulus. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Phil

Don't tell me, let me guess - the switch is mounted on a wall WITH A DOOR, Right?

Sounds like perhaps something is loose.

Power cord, circuit pack not seated well, something like that.

I'd double check those things first.

Good Luck !

Is the switch plugged into a UPS (either standalone or a main building UPS). If the batteries are low or bad or if the building goes into an automatic 'environmental' brown-out, this may be causing your problem.

In the error reports, is the time pretty consistant?

Is it programmed to update the backup at night could this set it off as well

I would suggest that you make sure that the system is well grounded as it sounds as if it is very sensitive and has been hit a some point by a surge

Thanks, Folks:

We powered down and removed the power supply. The plastic pin on the 511A, which pushes the interlock switch on the back of the power-supply board, was worn. We placed a layer or 2 or electrical tape over the end of the pin, reinstalled the power supply, and no more problems.
