We have an office that is being reconfigured and some of our users would like to get their DID calls at home or on their cell phone. I apolize but I am not trained on this product and I am hoping someone can tell me exactly how to accomplish this task. Thanks

To send them directly to another phone number, CALL FORWARDING can be used. (Feature 33)

It has to be "PERMITTED" on a per extension basis.

2 "permissions" must be turned on on each extensioin using this feature.

1 - REMOTE FORWARD

- and -

2 - TRUNK TO TRUNK TRANSFER

Also, any loop startr lines involved must be set to have REL:IABLE DISCONNECT.

I prefer to assign FEATURE 33 to a BUTTON, that way, when it is activated, the lignt for that button comes on.

Once all permissions have been set up, the user presses the CALL FORWARD Button, dials 9, THE NUMBER, and then presses the POUND # Sign.

You know it is forwarded when you see the light on.

Merlinman,
My users need to forward to their cellphone. Can I hard code the keystrokes onto the button directly? A user could then press 'forward' when out of the office, and turn 'forward' off when in office without all of the keystrokes. I have variuos revisions of Legends and Magix systems (68 systems).

Well, not really.

You have to dial the numbers in manually, each time.

One other way to do it, is to set up a phantom, set to be allowed to forwarded.

You would have to use authorization codes, but the benefit would be that you could set up the PHANTOM as the PERSONAL OPERATOR for the user. Then the user tell callers:

"To reach me on my cell phone, press ZERO."

That way, they never have to change it.

They could turn on Do Not Disturb on their in house set, and callers would be given that option rather quickly.
