I have a customer who has 3 Legends networked back to a Definity Prologix. They are all connected back to Definity with pt-to-pt T1s. They can overhead page from one location to another location by dialing the remote location's paging extension. I have been told by Avaya that this is not supported, but it was working great... until... All of the sudden no remote sites can page to location 1. Location 1 can page in their own store, but no remote locations can - they get constant ringing. Nothing changed with the UDP tables at the remote locations - I can do a list trace on the T1 and see the calls routing to location 1 - but no answer by the paging equip at location 1. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks!

First, it is WEIRD that it worked at all.

I have had several problems trying to make this work.

It is GREAT that you have such a TEST BED set up this way.

Therefore, I would think if you look at a PRINT ALL from all locations you may be able to see what is different between the ones that work and the one that don't.

Feel free to email me such print outs, once you get them done.

GEE, I wish that didn't take so long!!!

You can't do a "traditional" page over a network, traditional being accessing the paging system via a trunk port. What you could do, though, is get a paging interface, (UPAM?) that can access the system via a tip/ring port. Then that extension can be hit via the network.

Thanks for the replys on this - we had a bad 012RG board. Once it was replaced - it's working again. FYI - customer is using a Page-pal and it works great.
