Main console is set up as QCC (with Lines 801-820). I appreciate your assistance on setting the Night Auto-Attendant to work as follows: When the Night Button is pressed, extensions 100, 101, 131, and 136 to ring immediately and after 5 rings for the Night Auto Attendant to answer. Presently, the voicemail group is 770. I can get the extensions to ring when the Night is pressed, but it will not go to the Night Auto-Attendant. Again, thank you.

Well, if you want 5 ring delay, you do not need night service.

Here's how you can do it.

Put Lines in a Calling Group with overflow to 770.

Set Overflow parameters to be Number=99, time = 22 seconds.

That (22 Seconds) should be about 5 rings.

Usually people want NIGHT AA to answer right away.

To do that, you just put the LINE CALLING GROUP into the NIGHT SERVICE for the main attendant.

You're right, most customers use the Night AA immediately. In this situation, the Night button is pressed and a few extensions need to ring 5 rings then go to the Night AA. I assigned calling group 771 to overflow to 770 and changed the overflow parameters. However, the calling group 771, in Lines/Pools would not take the Line 801 etc. or the Pool 70 it beeps. We will test tonight. In the Night Sevice, under DGCG: it is 771. The console is a QCC. Would this have anything to do with the calling group not accepting the lines/pool? THANK YOU

Sounds like you have the lines, pools already assigned to 770. If you are using an overflow to VM - I would remove all of the lines, pools from 770 and put them in the overflow group 771. You need to remove them from 770 first, before you can reassign them to 771. I assume you have 771 pointed to the VM autoattendant (i.e., a voice mailbox set up as type 15 for extension 771).

The lines or pool 70 are not assigned to 770. Customer did not want VM AA during the day. The 771 is the AA with COS 15. The lines are assigned in the Night Group Lines: 801-820. Other suggestions?

I guess you have me confused. The operation of the overflow group is independant of night service. However if no lines are assigned to it - it will not work (day or night). Try this: remove the lines/pools from night service. Add the lines/pools to 771. Put 771 in night service as a calling group. You may or may not have to "exclude" the extensions you want to ring immediatels 5 times from night service. Try it first without excluding them.

Did not mean to confuse you. Only wanted to identify the only other place the Lines were assigned (Which was in the Night Group). After several trial and errors, found out that when the Lines are assigned to the QCC console, it will not allow you to assign them to any calling groups.

I hate QCC's - Do they really need it?

Of course, even if they don't, there would be the retraining of the Recep.
