legato rman backup hangs 2

We backup an oracle database on Windows 2000 using Legato and rman. The backup backs up the database files ok, then backs up the archive logs , but then hangs when attempting to delete the archive logs (via delete input) in the rman script.

To get the backup to finish, we have to stop the group in Legato, amend the script to take out the database backup so that the script onlys backs up/deletes archive log files and then backs up the control file - we then restart the Legato group - this always works.

Can you backup database to disk instead of sbt_tape?

We have run a backup to disk and this works !
But as we are a bit short on disk space - we would prefer to put backups onto tape.

if you backup to disk without any hang, then there is misconfiguration between Legato and tape devices.

But we backup a different database at the same time to the same legato tape and this works !!

We are experiencing the exact same issue, did you get a resolution, if so, what?

Make sure your Legato NMO agent is version 3.5 I have found similar issues with older versions of the NMO. Also, upgrade to Legato 6.2. Additionally, are you running a scheduled backup using nsrnmo.bat?

We run a scheduled savegroup via legato which runs a nsrnmo.bat file.
