Legato Remote Storage Node Setup

I am having problems getting my newly setup remote storage node to work fully, it has two drives which I can mount tapes and label tapes but how do I specify which save set or servers backup to the remote storage node tape drives instead of the legato server jukebox. The networker window shows all the drives, the legato server is a Solaris 8 box with Sun L20 jukeboxes and the remote storage node is a win NT4 box with two DAT tape drives. did you edit the client to use the storage node? You need to put the storage node name before the NSRSERVERHOST entry in the Storage Node definition of the client preferences

Many Thanks, I have the remote storage node name in the storage nodes box, all Legato does is say save set completed and shows level=skip for all servers in that save set using the remote storage node. There are no errors for failing to authenticate just level skip and so no backup thats why I am so confused, any more help would be much appreciated it is probably something obvious I am missing.

Try forcing the backup level for these clients from the command line e.g.

# savegrp -l full <YOUR_GROUP_NAME>

This should kick off a backup correctly. If it doesn't please post the errors you receive here so we can try to help!
