I am having the following error on one particular machine when my backups run at night:-

lonse6:All 1 retry attempted
* lonse6:All nsrexec: authtype nsrexec

I have tried alsorts to get this working and the funny thing is that it worked ok a week ago and nothing has changed.

Any ideas?

cheers

This means that the client did not answer to the server's request in the expected time.

- Is the listener (nsrexecd) running at the client?
- Is the name resolution o.k. in forward and reverse direction?

Hola,

salu2

sjorda: despite several mates here do speak spanish (like me) use only english. Would you be confortable if a japaness or chiness, from tailandia, india, rusia, etc. guy write a post in their original language?

Cheers.

PD: "salu2" is read as "saludos" in spanish. saludos=regards.

If someone is not comfortable with English then they dont have to write in english, however, they may be ok in reading english, and if this person has some usefull information to give so be it in spanish, yu can always get it translated by someone who knows spanish or there are web based english spanish translation services that can be used just as easily, i would rather someone give me a solution to my issue in spanish then have no replies..

are you confortable with this answer?:

????????????????????????????????????
????????IP???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????2005????????????????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

rpcinfo -p 'nombre_servidor(legato_server_name)'
What do you not understand about the above cmd he sugested, quite whining, he gave a usefull tip, spanish or not, dont want to use it then dont, some of us will.

Try putting the servers and ip address in a host file. If the server is timing out this should help speed things up a bit.

When you come across a post in a foreign language sometimes you can get the gist of it by using a translator website, e.g.
I plugged in the Spanish and got a resonable understanding of the post.
