I have recently upgraded from Netwoker 5.5.3 to 6.1.2 and I have noticed that Legato decides to run nsrck -MX at the most inconvenient times. Mostly during the backup window.

Does any one run nsrck manually to prevent the automatic nsrck from running. Are there any new checks that need to be done on version 6.1.2.

Regards

Paul

Hello
We also had problems with this running automatically during the backups. You can change the time when this runs by modifying the file nsrim.prv. The check is ran every 24 hours and it not recommended that you prevent it from running. Hope this helps.

I found the file nsrim.prv within my Legato NetWorker for Windows. But it is empty and I can't find a description of it.

Where I can get any description regarding to the file nsrim.prv?

What modification is needed on nsrim.prv to define the start time of automatic nsrck execution?

The file is an empty file and contains no commands lines. I change the file by erasing the original file then using the command copy con to recreate the file at a more covenant time.

Hello,

Just run a script from a cron job to touch /nsr/mm/nsrim.prv either before or after you run nsrim -X.

This will allow you to control when it occurs.

I pick a slow time for my Legato activity (i.e. 8:15 am).

Who is We? We recommend the customers to run "nsrck -L6" weekly.

Why are you running nsrim -X before or after the touch of /nsr/mm/nsrim.prv ?
