Hi,

What is the best solution if I need backup my Exchange data AND the standard data on the same Windows 2k server ?

Can I run it with only 1 client ?
Can I run it in the same group ?

Thanks

If you do not want to stop your Exchange server you need two clients (they need 1 license only as only one index is used).

The reason for that is that the NW Exchange module needs to treat databases diffently. However these commands will not work with the file backups.

Yes, you may assign both clients to the same group.

Thanks for your answer, but when I try to assign these clients in a same group, NetWorker doesn't want because they have a same name.

When I try to create an other name for same server, A windows with this error message:

An alias of this client is already an alias for client <clientname>. This is not recommended. Re-apply only if client is in a cluster configuration.

???

Which version do you use? - it just perfectly works with mine (just verified it with NW 7.1.1). I do not have the Echange software installed but there should not be a problem to assign 2 client instances with the same name to one group.

Just make sure that your really use the same name and not the short name and the FQDN.

After few tests, I found what is my problem.

The first client backup "All" and with that, I cannot put other client with same name in same group.

Can you confirm me what "All" backup ?
system state:
system files:
system db:
<local drive>

thanks
