legal way to copy

I would like to copy pictures from web sites.
They do have the copy right signs.
Can I do this and you it on my web site.
If I can't .
What must i do .
so that what i am doing is legitimate.
I can't afford to take pictures
It is too expensive

You must contact the copyright owner of the images if you want the right to copy them. This is not rocket science.

Investigate freely licensed images such as those at

http://www.morguefile.com

or

http://www.sxc.hu

Images for use online will typically set you back $1 each.
