We are adding a Legacy Carrier with a 400 Dual PRI card into an R7. Slots 1,2,&3 have either a combo or DS-8. Is there a limitation with respect to which slots can support the Legacy carrier? For example only slots 1 & 2 or can I put it in the open 4th slot? First question is position (slot) to use in the V2, 2nd question: Any license issues?

Thanks

No slot restriction. No license required for full use of both PRI pipes

No license required for Dual Pri to be active.
You will also get the first 16 Pri channels free ( virtual license ).
You will need extra Pri channel license(s) depending on how many more channels you need.
Nice thing about Legacy carrier, is You can add an old IP 400 VCM card and get triple the Avaya IP endpoints! ( ie. VCM 8 = 24 virtual Avaya IP endpoints )

@AndrePa - when using IP400 T1/PRI card, no license is needed for full use of both pipes. Avaya's concept is/was that they had charged full price for IP400, then with IP500 T1/PRI, they reduced the price of card and added licenses to make it equal IP400 card cost if using all channels. Allowed IPO to be competitive in smaller applications.
