Left Click My Computer shortcut broken

Win98se. Left clicking on My Computer does nothing. The right click/properties on My Computer still connects to Device Manager, etc. All other shortcuts work, and no problems with icons.
Problem first seen after using a shareware registry program which successfully cleaned long-removed programs out of the right click menu and tools on IE. But no reference to My Computer or any registry key that I can find is associated with My Computer in backup files.
Wish someone would write a safe little program to remove obsolete right click program entries.

To reenter My Comupter into the reg. Copy the bold to Notepad. SAve as My.reg Double click to merge.
