I have 95 on C: and 2000 on E: (partitions on same disk; D: is slave). After running 2000's version of scandisk I am told that 95 cannot load gdi.exe and that 95 needs reinstalling. Can I reinstall just 95 on C: leaving 2000 on E: untouched? (I seem to remember that left to its own devices 95 will run fdisk and delete everything).
I need 95 for my son's games.
Thanks.
Tony.

this may or may not answer ur ? but i have linux/98/me/2000 installed on seperate partitions on my local hdd.....linux will reinstall fine / 98 will want to reformat / ME will reinstall fine .....the best thing u can do is to run system file checker and repair or extract those files that are corrupt or missing or changed... if not the best thing u can do is exit to DOS and format only the partition that WIN95 is located on and format it through dos...apparently it spoofs win98 into thinking the drive is formatted as a whole and will not want to format the whole drive....I hope this works for ya...
