Does anyone have a document giving background on leased lines including an explanation of the physical and electrical interfaces up to 155mb. and any other useful info ?

Thanks

I put together my own T-carrier bible entirely from technical reports published by the "Committee T1" of the American National Standards Institute. They are far too many to all be listed here. Everything you want to know about signal specs, frame formats, test patterns, and so on can be found. This isn't for the faint of heart though. You are talking about perhaps thousands of pages - hundreds at a minimum. There is probably a good book out there somewhere but I've never found one that was very detailed or even accurate.

I would recommend this one report for starters:

ANSI T1-102-1993, Digital Hierarchy - Electrical Interfaces

If you can stomach that, you'll be set to dig deeper.

Hi,

You could check out the "T1 Survival Guide" by O'Reilley. The book is about $20, and gives you a the history, development of the T-carrier sytem, the framing formats, signalling, common errors etc. I have found it to be pretty useful, even though here in India we use the E-Carrier system.

If you do find some other source of info on the T-carrier systems, do lemme know.

Hi
Can somebody help me about following points ?
1-How can we calculate the band width by using the daily graphs ?

2-What equation is there between band width and the number of users ?

3- If we have bought 2Meg band width how can we become sure that all the range has been assigned to us ?
Regards
