Not sure if this is the right place, but seem a good place to start.

A couple of years ago I bought a LDK-100 for my company. Over Christmas we found out that the company that use to supoport us went bust, so I have nowhere to go for help and support.

At presnet we just use the switchboard to make and recive calls via 4 ISDN/30 and 2 premicell lines. I'm sure it can do more, but how do I find out what, how to upgrade and program it.

Thanks in advance.

Jez,

It says LDK-100 MPB.

Jeset I'll have to try later as phone are in use.

Cheers,
Jez.

Hi Jez

One important thing before you do the reset.
The reset button is a kind of front door contact, and it is the little black round button sitting between the blue connector (upper - with 8 dip switches - don´t change any of these!!)and the green connector (lower).
Just press that button once, and let me know about your success.

As you found out that the proceesor board is an MPB, and the relevant flash boards for the MPB (PMU1, PMU2, ASMU1 and ASMU2) not are produced anymore, they wil be hard to find.

But with your MPB and ASM1 board, it should work well, as long as you do NOT need the second cabinet.
You can even upgrade to s/w 3.8, and use PC Attendant and Softphone programs as ezPhone.

BUT if you want to implement VOIP, the secon cabinet has to be activated.
This will demand a new MPBN with an new ASMU2N.

Historically the naming of the ipLDK -100 processor boards has been:
1. MPB (PMU1, PMU2, ASMU1 and ASMU2)
2. MPBE (PMU1E, PMU2E, ASMU1E and ASMU2E)
3. MPBN (ASMU1N and ASMU2N) (PMU's are phased out.)

You cannot use MPB and ASMU2N together, therefore to upgrade, the new MPBN with an new ASMU2N.

Thank you!

Does anyone have any idea where the best place to buy the boards and cards from?

Cheers,
Jez.

No, still got music coming out of the door phones.

After the first reset, I switched it off/on and then pulled out and replaced the boards we had taken out. Still no joy.

Is there a setting that plays the music over the door phones?

Cheers,
Jez.

There should not be!

(I haven´t heard about this problem before).

Did you try to contact you local dealer?

Hi Jez

Pls. re-check that your door phone works as it should.

Hi Jezt,

MOH can play out the Door phone if PGM 171 Flex Key 3 (ICM Box Music Channel) is set.
Set this to No BGM (Back Ground Music)

Regards
Steve

Steve,

PGM 171 doesn't work, comes back with Ear-Mic after 17.

Went into PCADMIN and set ICM to "NO BGM", comes back with "[MESSAGE) Music(PGM171): Can not update.

Coming out/in of PCADMIN shows ICM Box Music is set to No BGM, but music is still playing!

Cheers,
Jez.

Jezt

You need to log into the Admin Section to use PGM 171.

Dial Trans/PGM *# (Password if set) Trans/PGM

Then proceed with Steves instruction

ie PGM 171 Flex Button 3 - set to off

Thanls Steve,

I did email tham and they said.

"To get this to work you will need to buy a new MPB and an ASMU2 to run 3.8 software as you cannot run 3.8 software into a PMU"

Is this correct?

Cheers,
Jez.

Historically the naming of the ipLDK -100 processor boards has been:
1. MPB (PMU1, PMU2, ASMU1 and ASMU2)
2. MPBE (PMU1E, PMU2E, ASMU1E and ASMU2E)
3. MPBN (ASMU1N and ASMU2N) (PMU's are phased out.)

Sorry I cannot remember what processorboard you had, but
to run s/w 3.8, you need:

MBP - ASMU1/ASMU2
MBPE - ASMU1E/ASMU2E
MBPN - ASMU1N/ASMU2N

Let me know if you need more.

Back to your question:

"To get this to work you will need to buy a new MPB and an ASMU2 to run 3.8 software as you cannot run 3.8 software into a PMU"

Answer:

As you already are running ipLDK-100 s/w 3.6, the daughter board of the MPB is an ASMU1, because s/w 3.6 cannot run with PMU's of any kind.

So you could upgrade from s/w 3.6 to 3.8 using the same hardware, or buy a new ASMU2 - and use both your cabinets.

ASMU1 - one cabinet.
ASMU2 - two cabinets.

If you need more info let me know.
